It would be a shame if my mom had to throw these medals into the garbage, wouldn't it? But who else would care for five pieces of old fabric with metal stars? My father loved them and was very proud of my achievements, but I was not sure if my step mom would accept more objects from my father's family, so I brought them with me, and they are here reminding me of the young girl I was.
