1. How will WHAT DID YOU BRING? use my story?
Submitted stories will be added to the WHAT DID YOU BRING? (“WDYB?”) website and will be used for research, exhibitions and other related programs.
Your story will be available on the WDYB? website for public research and for the public’s enjoyment.

2. What should I include?
WHO – Your name and where in Canada you currently reside
WHAT – the name of the object you brought to Canada
WHERE FROM – city/town, country you migrated from
WHEN – date when you brought the object to Canada
Then write the story of WHAT the object means to you
And add a one or more high resolution photographs of the object.
3. Is there a deadline by which to share my story?
There is no deadline for you to share your story. WDYB will be collecting stories permanently through the webpage.
4. Do I still own the copyright to my story?
Yes, you will still own the copyright to your story.
When you submit your story you give the WDYB? a non-exclusive, unlimited use licence to collect, use and reuse your story. So, yes you will still own the copyright of your story.

5. Will I be able to see my story online?
After submitting your story through the WDYB’s webpage, each story will be reviewed and processed. It will take between eight to 10 weeks before your story will be added in to the WDYB? webpage. Stories viewable online may also be refreshed from time to time.
